Flip Effect

Flip Effects are activated when a Flip Effect Monster is flipped face-up; either by battle, a Flip Summon, or a card effect that specifically flips it face-up, such as "Swords of Revealing Light". Cards like "Ceasefire" flip face-down monsters face-up, but specifically prevent Flip Effects from being activated.
If a monster is flipped face-up and destroyed by battle, it is destroyed first, then it’s effect is activated and resolves on the field during the Damage Step, after damage calculation. Since the card is already destroyed, effects like that of "Hane-Hane" and “Penguin Soldier” cannot target themselves.
